Just for the Halibut at Jewels of the Sea exhibit

I made this for the "Jewels of the Sea" Challenge by the San Francisco School of Needlework and Design, and it is there on display until March 4. The address is 360 Post Street, Suite 604. I am told it is across from Union Square. There's a reception/party next Saturday from 11-4, and I will be there, come hell or high water! Which may be the case, because there is a lot of rain going on up there and flooding in some places.

I updated this post since I first wrote it, because the photos needed to be tweaked. Here I am with Miss Halibut at the exhibit!

Prayer flags

I made some prayer flags recently. They are part of an exchange with my First Friday Fiber Artists group.

I didn't have much time to work on them - lots going on! Quick and dirty. But I am happy with the results.

Jewels of the Sea Challenge

Sorry, it's been a while since I posted last. One problem is that Blogger hasn't updated its app on my phone. It seems to work okay on my laptop, though. Fingers crossed.

I made a stuffed fish, "Just for the Halibut," for the Jewel of the Sea Challenge by the newly formed San Francisco School of Needlework and Design. It is on display now, together with over 70 other entries from more than 10 countries. It will be there until March 4. And there will be a party reception next Saturday, February 11, from 11 to 4. I will be there, some hell or high water! And there may be high water, because of all the rain and flooding up there.

The address is 360 Post Street, Suite 604, and i am told it is across from Union Square.

I've been trying to post these fun photos of my mom and granddaughter but the phone has been temperamental.

Valentina photos

I have been having problems posting blog posts on my phone. Fingers are crossed that I can succeed via the iPad! These are photos from a recent visit with Warren and Valentina, plus a dress that I recently sewed for her. Val is turning one in about a week!
