Hi there, I'm Cindy Cooksey, and welcome to my blog, on Day 2 of the hop skip jump blog hop.
I was invited to make a 18" quilt square to promote Jamie Fingal's new fabric line from RJR Fabrics, called hopscotch. These come from hand drawn designs from Jamie's notebooks.
This is the fabric I chose from her line. Isn't it yummy? With names like Loop de Loop - Grass, Deconstructed Dandelions - Chalkboard, and Intertwining Puddles - Tomato. Cross Hatch - Zebra. There are 83 different fabrics in the line, which made it hard to choose just ten. But I love the colorful ones I selected.
I had a design all worked out by the time I received the fabrics in the mail, and the quilt went together easily. I rearranged the flowers a little, to improve the balance of the design, and machine quilted it.
I was thrilled by the intense colors!
A touch of hand embroidery here and there.
The line will debut at Spring Quilt Market in St. Louis in mid-May, and the fabric will ship to stores in
August.

Love the fabric and your handiwork!
Wow! These look amazing in a project. Hope they come up to Canadian shops in my area. Often fabric lines don't cross over the border.
Boy, that is gorgeous fabric! The colors are so vibrant. Love the piece you made with that cloth. Yum!
Thanks Sandy and Terry! I hope they come to Canada, too.
Such colorful flowers! Great choice brights from Jamie's line!
I can hardly WAIT for August to get here!!! I absolutely LOVE these fabrics!
Thank you for your comments!
Absolutely stunning work!
You are a true artist. Hope to see more of your stitchery at the upcoming Orange County Fair.
