I won a ribbon at my guild's show

I was surprised and pleased that my quilt "Flower Frenzy" won a ribbon: first place contemporary, individual! This happened at the  Flying Geese Quilt Show, aka Harvest of Quilts this past weekend at Soka University in Aliso Viejo.

This was the quilt I made for the Sizzix blog hop last Spring. All the flowers and leaves were made on a Sizzix die cutting machine.

I ended up adding a petticoat and a cat's tail. I mailed it off to my granddaughter yesterday, sorry, didn't take pix. But I am looking forward to seeing pix of her wearing it! I also sent her cat ears on head bands, thanks to Target, and it will be up to her mom to give her kitty makeup.

Ack, this comment was meant to go with the post about my granddaughter's kitty skirt. I have no idea why it ended up with this post.
